And although an MRI scan requires elaborate, highly technical, state-of-the-art equipment and expertise, it’s nonetheless a simple, painless, and noninvasive procedure from the patient’s point of view.

In fact, the most inhibiting thing about an MRI scan might be having to lie still for a few minutes at a time.
